Old Palesteine House started as a pop-up shop for Palestine in December 2025. Initially a brief opportunity to raise funds and awareness over the Christmas period, it quickly grew into something much more. As more individuals and groups got involved, it became a space for community, activism, art, fundraisers, events, learning, and organising.

By June 2026, thanks to the incredible support of our community, Old Palesteine House transitioned into a semi-permanent space, allowing us to continue building on everything that had grown here and create a lasting home for Palestinian solidarity in Brighton.

From the start, Old Palesteine House has centred Palestinian voices and experiences, allowing us to grow in a way that is deeply and authentically aligned with our values and our desire to create meaningful change and opportunities.

As we continue to evolve, we need our community more than ever. Old Palesteine House exists because of the people who volunteer their time, share their skills, attend events, donate, and help shape the space. As we continue to evolve, we’d love to invite you to join the community, contribute in a way that suits your skills and abilities, and create the local relationships and networks that we need in society.

بدأت دارة فلسطين كمتجر مؤقت في كانون الأول 2025. كان الشهر الأول قبل عطلة الميلاد المجيد يهدف إلى جمع التبرعات المختلفة لقضايا خيرية في فلسطين ولكنه أصبح أكبر بكثير من متجر مؤقت. انضم إلى متجرنا المؤقت الكثير من الأفراد والمجموعات وسرعان ما أصبحت المساحة مساحة مجتمعية ناشطة، تستضيف الفنون والتبرعات الخيرية المختلفة والأنشطة المختلفة وتتيح مساحة للتعلم والتنظيم المجتمعي.

في حزيران 2026 وبفضل الدعم الهائل من مجتمعنا استطاعت دارة فلسطين أن تنتقل إلى مرحلة أكثر استقرارا، في هذه المرحلة نبني على كل ما تعلمناه ونما خلال النصف الأول من عام 2026 ونخلق مساحة للتضامن والمتضامنين مع فلسطين في مدينة برايتون.

 منذ البداية، ركزت دارة فلسطين على الأصوات والتجارب الفلسطينية، مما سمح لنا بالنمو بطريقة تتوافق بشكل عميق وأصيل مع قيمنا ورغبتنا في إحداث تغيير في المجتمع المحلي في المدينة.

Our front entry features a ramp (61cm W x 74cm L / weight capacity 270kg) to allow individuals with mobility restrictions to safely enter the premises

Our interior is designed to allow for easy manoeuvring of wheelchairs and mobility scooters, and is step free on the ground floor

We have a downstairs area that is accessible via a staircase

Our bathrooms are located on the lower floor, and therefore unfortunately not accessible to those who are unable to descend the stairs. However, our neighbours have kindly offered free use of their facilities. You’re welcome to Jacob’s Cafe and North Laine Brewhouse, located just a 1 minute walk either side from Old Palesteine House.
